Enduring Understanding #1 (Most of the cells in a human contain 46 chromosomes: 2 x 22 autosomes and 1 x 2 sex chromosomes = 46 total).

Big Idea: The chromosomes of an organism's cells, in part, define certain aspects of its nature.
