Objective: The student will be able to describe and model situations in which different amounts of potential energy are stored in a system and support the claim that when the kinetic energy of an object changes, that energy has been transferred to or from the objects in the system.

Big Idea: Students use their understanding of kinetic and potential energy to design catapults using easily accessible materials that launch marshmallows!
