Objective: SWBAT prove geometric relationships involving quadrilaterals
Throughout the quadrilaterals unit, students have had things scaffolded for them within each lesson. In this lesson, each student will be flying solo, like a kite. It is a chance for me to see how well each student has assimilated the learning from the lessons in the unit. I explain to students that they will be working independently to complete tasks that will require them to apply what they have learned in the unit. I allow students to reference their notes and resources from the unit, but not other resources such as the textbook or internet.
My job in this lesson is to hand out a copy of the Quadrilaterals Unit Transfer Task PDF to each student and watch the fledglings take flight. For those reluctant to leave the nest, I do walk around giving the occasional nudge.
