Objective: SWBAT understand that not all bark is the same, but it does serve the same purpose by comparing different types of barks.

Big Idea: Young children often lump a lot of information into one category or schema. This lesson helps kids understand that trees can be different and the bark of trees, while serving the same purpose, need to be different for many reasons.
