Lesson Objective
Students will analyze properties of plane figures in order to identify figures within composite shapes
Lesson Plan
Engagement (Warm- Up) 5 min.:
Tell the students to draw a picture of a house using only 5 lines.
Exploration (Activity)/ Explanation 20 min.:
Students will learn how to analyze figures in order to locate shapes inside of composite figures.
Students will create and disect several images by combining shapes.

Elaboration (Independent) 15 min.:
Teacher can see small groups while students are working independently on worksheet.
What shapes are used to creat this image?
Can you use different shapes to get the same outcome?
If you rotated the figures, would you still be able to use the same shapes?
